Zexion nodded. "If he's anything like Axel then yes." He paused. This human was pretty smart. "And yes. All of us are Mystics born in Japan...a bit after the Edo era actually. I'm going on 1031, next year," he said, watching with annoyance as Axel's eyes met his and the red head grinned. "Over a thousand and the idiot still doesn't know how to behave," he said with exasperation.

"If it's any consolation I've had to go hunt down Lorcan over 30 times for every reason in the book." Adrian said. "Trying to eat babies, hunting too many prostitutes, getting drunk, rampaging threw a petting zoo. Those kids will never look at a bunny the same way again."

Zexion let a ghost of a smirk appear on his face. "Probably not," he added, but more to himself.
Axel came walking over, a girl in each arm. "Hey Zexy." Glare. "We were thinking of going out. Care to-"
"Zexy!" Glomp!
Zexion mentally sighed. This really wasn't his day. He looked at the blond that was currently attached to him. "Demyx...get off me this instant...before I feed you to Axel."
The blond gave a little noise and backed up. Another blond, this one much younger laughed from behind him. "Way to go, Dem!"
Zexion rolled his eyes. "Do I even want to know how you two got out of the house?" He asked, rhetorically.
Both Demyx and Roxas shook their heads. "Nope."
Demyx noticed the two ladies standing with a surprised Axel. "Hey ladies. How about you ditch bastard for a real man?" He flirted and the two girls giggled.
Axel's eyes narrowed. "You got something to add to that, water boy?" He snapped. The air grew tense and the two human girls backed up a bit, whispering to each other.
"Yeah, I do fire-butt." Ok, Demyx was never good at insults. He snapped his fingers and Axel was soaked by water that seemed to come from the ceiling. "That's for locking us in the house."
Roxas sat next to Zexion. "This'll be good," he said with a grin. That's when he noticed Adrian. "Oh hey! I'm Roxas. That's Demyx," he introduced, pointing to his older brother.

"Adrian," he shook Roxas' hand. "pleasure to meet you. Lorcan should be kicking around here somewhere, I advise you not be too friendly to him, he has a thing for cute blonds." he added with a tinge of both pride and jealousy.
As if on cue Lorcan came sauntering over to them, a satisfied smile on his face and only a small trace of blood left on him. He approached Adrian first, kissing him deeply, and then turned his attention to Zexion and Roxas.
"That certainly was refreshing. And speaking of refreshing," the cannibal leered at Roxas. "Who is this tasty young thing? Oh can we keep him, love? He's so cute."
"No," Adrian said indignantly. "People are not pets."
"That's not what you said last night," Lorcan smirked, poking his lover in the side.
".. Quiet you."

Roxas blushed lightly and was mentally grateful to Adrian for protecting him against the shape shifter. He was about to comment when he got splashed with more water. "Hey! Quit it!" He shouted at the two brothers. That's when he noticed the scene. "Oh..."
There were scorch marks everywhere and the whole place was dripping with water as the two brothers fought. It looked like an intricate dance between the two conflicting elements. Axel's eyes narrowed and summoned two fireballs into his hands. Demyx was ready too, a small stream of water encircling him. They were about to attack when Zexion finally decided to do something.
He concentrated for a moment and a book appeared in his hand, 'VI' inscribed on the side. He raised a hand and at the same time both Axel and Demyx vanished in a flurry of lights. With a satisfied smirk, he set his book down on the table and went back to his drink.
Roxas could only shake his head. "That had it coming," he said to Adrian and Lorcan. "This is the third time this week they had a fight with powers involved," he added, throwing a hesitant look to his oldest brother.

"That's quite the interesting power you have," Adrian admired. He was a witch, but didn't have any formal training so his powers were limited. "Very useful too."
"Where... did they go?" Lorcan asked, prodding the book and looking like a curious puppy. "Adrian, promise me you wont ever put me into a scary book thingy."
"I won't dear," Adrian chuckled, running a hand threw Lorcan's messy black hair. "I suspect your, Lexicon was it? is kind of like an alternate dimension where you can trap things in?"

Zexion smirked over his drink. "In essence, yes. It's a manifestation of my powers over illusions. I can only trap two maybe three people in it at best. Outside, I can make people what I want but that's all I'm limited too. I can also copy others' abilities," he explained.
"Which is damn annoying," Roxas put in as a waitress handed him a drink.
Zexion merely shrugged. "Just because I locked you in my Lexicon one time..." he started and the sentence really didn't need to be finished.

Adrian chuckled again, he had had similar talks with Lorcan, although it was usually about Lorcan trying to make him eat 'people meat'. "You fight like an old married couple."
"Isn't that adorable?" Lorcan agreed. "Just like us."
"Minus the old, and married part." Adrian laughed, and hinted. "So, how long are you going to leave them in there?"
"And could you train Adrian in the ways of magic?" Lorcan asked on Adrian's behalf.
Adrian's cheeks flushed and he looked away.

Zexion gave a small shrug. "Probably a couple hours and..." he paused looking at Adrian. "A witch without control is a dangerous thing. If you need training than I shall offer it," he said, nodding to them.
Roxas peeked over Zexion shoulder. "Well if Zexy says you guys are alright, then I'll help too. All he can do is illusions and stuff. You want combat and I'm your man!" He said, excited and not sounding like he was over 1000 years old at all.

Adrian's blush deepened and he cleared his throat. He did want the training and was very happy that they were willing to help him, but this was a huge dent in his pride.
"Thank you," Lorcan said, beaming. "Don't worry Adrian's a quick study, aren't you love?"
"Yeah.. sure.." Adrian nodded, ego severely bruised.
"I'll find some way to pay you of course." Lorcan continued to smile.

Roxas waved it off. "It's no big deal. We'll think of something later on," he said grinning.
Zexion glared at his youngest brother. "No. There is no need for payment. We have more than enough money, despite our way of living," he said, earning a groan from disappointment from Roxas.

"No no, I insist!" Lorcan would clearly not take no for an answer. "Perhaps I could bring you test subjects."
"Lorcan, just drop it." Adrian said stiffly. "Thank you for your offer."
"I'll drop Adrian off tomorrow some time after noon." Lorcan said as if scheduling piano lessons for a child. "I'll keep Axel busy so he stays out of your hair."

Zexion nodded, and then looked to Roxas. "Let's go," he said, standing up.
Roxas smiled, following him. "See ya tomorrow guys," he said, waving to Adrian and Lorcan.
The two continued walking down the street, Roxas with his hands behind his head. "You know, you've never taken to someone so quickly, Zex," he commented. The other didn't acknowledge. "Not since Venice anyway with that Leonardo guy," he added, rolling his eyes.
Zexion's eyes snapped to him. "That's Leonardo Da Vinci, one of the most brilliant minds of the last millennium," he snapped, his Lexicon tucked under his arm.
Roxas sighed. "Whatever."

Once they were out of earshot Adrian turned to Lorcan and nearly yelled.
"I can't believe you just did that!" the blond hissed, trying not to draw attention to himself. "Do you know how embarrassing that was?"
"Don't fret," Lorcan soothed, hugging Adrian around his middle. "I know you wanted to ask, and with your pride you wouldn't have. You've been training so hard on your own, a teacher would be of great use to you."
"Yeah.. but.. I... .... You suck." Adrian flustered, pouting like a child who's toy had been taken away. "Let's just go home."
"Alright, just let me pick up my doggy bag." Lorcan was only a few moments and then the two were making the trek back to Lorcan's expansive home.
The couple got into bed, cuddled for a while, and feel sleep contently in each others arms. Morning came too soon for Adrian's liking, the sun prying his eyelids apart. Lorcan on the other hand was up and running. For someone who spent most of his time running around at night Lorcan was surprisingly chipper in the morning.
"Get ready, love." Lorcan grinned at Adrian who was still half asleep. "I have some things I want to do before you go to your class."
"Guuhhh," Adrian moaned, rolled over, and covered his head with the thick red blanket.
"I love you too!"
After an hour of coaxing Adrian was finally up and dressed. They ate a quick breakfast, Adrian enjoying a plate of eggs and toast and Lorcan gnawing on a forearm and a bowl of fruit. Instead of walking into town as they usually did Lorcan rummaged through a few drawers and found the keys to his dried blood red Mercedes. It was a speedy car, clearly expensive, and had almost no mileage. Lorcan was a good driver, but preferred to walk everywhere, as did Adrian.
Before Lorcan took Adrian to Zexion's house he got his lover a few things. A binder, pencil case, paper, an array of pens and highlighters, and a school boys uniform. For his own amusement he forced the annoyed blond to wear the short sleeved button down shirt, gray shorts, and dark blue tie, before heading to Zexion's place.

Once Zexion and Roxas had gotten home, the oldest brother had let Axel and Demyx out on the promise they would behave for the rest of the week. They had both agreed, not wanting to go back into the book so soon.
Morning came too quickly, at least for three members of the house. Zexion, as always, was up at six, sitting in the kitchen eating Fruitloops and reading a new book. He was also wearing his usual black pants and dark purple t-shirt, having woken up only an hour ago. He heard stomping and Axel came downstairs, his spiky hair all over the place. "You look awake," he said, sarcasm heavy in his tone.
Green eyes narrowed at him as Axel grabbed the Captain Crunch out of the cupboard. "You would be too if you had spent a good hour the previous day in that damn book," he said, now glaring at said book that was on the counter.
Zexion's eyes narrowed, as though daring him to touch his Lexicon. "Well, Adrian should be here soon," he said and Roxas came downstairs, dressed in PJ's with little keys on them.
The blond didn't even look at them as he went to the fridge...and face planted into it. "Easy there, Rox!" Axel said, helping the 'teenager' up. Even though he was 1000, Roxas still acted like a teenager. Therefore, early mornings did not work for him.
Zexion was about to put in something when he heard a knock at the door and set down his book, making sure to slip a loose playing card in to save his place. He went downstairs and opened the door. It took every ounce of his power not to laugh. "Ah...good morning," he said, smirking at Adrian.
